Dunno, but I think the "T" stands for "Thin."

gas is the operative word here......just as the increase in demand goes UP for gas, once the demand for N G or CN G goes up, their prices will do the same.

Naah. The American Way of Life is now - and always will be - what Thomas Jefferson penned in the Declaration of Independence: Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
There are some out there that wish to smear the greatest country in the world with words like greed or impatience, but it's specifically because we're the greatest nation that those people are allowed to say things like that. They are the ones that will blame others and refuse to accept any responsibility for their own actions.
I believe in American Exceptionalism. I believe that the United States of America is better than every other nation on earth because of it's people, it's beliefs, and it's governance. America is a great country, and I am proud to be an American.
Your pal,
Meat.

My advice: don't give away any subsidies. If the thing really is better, it will pay for itself. If it is not, it will end like the Carter-era subsidies to make gasoline from coal ($9 billion per year), or like the Clinton-era subsidies to make electric cars ($1,350 million/yr, "Partnership for New Generation Vehicles).
Do you see any coal-based fuel gas stations?
Do you see any electric cars?
You don't, but believe me, you or your parents paid for each and every penny wasted on these follies on your 1040 forms to the IRS.

Wasn't GM the first out there in the 90s with the electric car (EV1)? GM pulled the plug on that. Cali built electric "filling" stations throughout the state. If GM hadn't been so damned greedy THEY could have sold their 1,000,000th car and not Toyota (Prius) and they wouldn't be nearing bankruptcy. Watch Who Killed The Electric Car? Great flick.

Meh. The EV1 was a science project, never intended to go more than the three years it was leased for. GM didn' pull the plug; the program had a finite lifespan from the get-go.
As far as electric 'filling stations' go ... there weren't that many, no car was ever parked at one, and no one wanted to support it. There were a number of these 'stations' at various Fry's stores in So. Cal. I used to park in them all the time, since they were right next to the handicapped spots at the front of the store and always empty. The Hummer looked good parked there.

Meat.

I like what I saw on his web-site as well, and joined last week. Interesting / informative ideas on different forms of alternative energy.

You forgot GWB's hydrogen giveaway called "FreedomCar".
Or was that OK?

GWB did that?
When was he appointed to the Department of Energy, again?
When was he made chairman of the DOE Oversight committee again?
Sheesh. Some people ...
