At the risk of some copyrights violation, I'm tempted to post it on the flyer I keep handy for curious onlookers... a "on the dash" flyer with just the basics on one side, and the more technicals on the flip.

In a way the Opus cartoon is an endorsement....some folks here in the USA don't want to let loose of that big SUV...but it's what NEEDS to be done.....I find many more are following us than fighting....and yes I have had the first cartoon happen to me just last week....the 'shut up' was a little more implied than a shout...but I got it!

I think attitudes are changing slowly. I too miss when gas was affordable enough to fill my '68 Continental with premium. And I miss my '68 Continental. Interestingly enough, at $3.25/gallon, I had a lot of questions about the safety of my car. Since topping $3.75/gallon, the question hasn't come up once!

I saw the same cartoon. It was sent to me via e-mail. I changed the 'hybrid' part to show '4-2'. It is on my cubicle at work. I have co-workers who pay about $100 per week for gas.
