Are these the best sponsers you could get?

What's with the cheesy scam artist sponsers on this site? "Run Your Car On Water"...come on, give me a break. We've seen these scams exposed time and time again whether on 60 Minutes or on Mythbusters. This is a very popular message board now and you'd think there would be some legitimate businesses looking to advertise here. They aren't even going to consider it when these jokers are on here.

Google ads

Sorry you feel this way. These are Google ads and most are helpful and relevant.

However, I agree and will go into the Google panel and block this advertiser.

Whats your thoughts on the Minicat Air Car.

Thanks,

SCOA

I block the advertisers. However, his site had nothing to do with a car running on water. It pertains to Buying A Used Car and inspections. which is even more deceiving.

FWIW, you can use a modified hosts file to block the majority of ads from your browser, and block new sites as you encounter them. More info at:

Or the AdBlocker Plus addon if you use Firefox. I didn't even know there were supposed to be ads up there.

Yeah, I've never seen them either. Doesn't IE have an ad block setting?

I think the MDI Aircar rocks. I've been following them for years. I'm not sure they're actually advertising as such yet, but please don't block anything from / about them. The OneCat may not make it here, but I think the CityCAT will.

I don't mean to offend any admins here and I apologize if I came off that way. I can sometimes come off that way. I think this is a fantastic website that deserves only the best so I thought I'd give my input. Thank you for your response.

Regarding the MiniCat Air Car I think it's a very cool alternative that is still in it's infancy of design. I hope the best for this concept and now that I am aware of that site I will be following it some more.

As far as cars running off of water I think we can all agree it is a great idea that is based on proven scientific concepts. As soon as someone figures out how to extract enough hydrogen to actually run an engine for a practical amount of time I'll be very excited.

BTW, nice Chrysler banner up top. Nice to see some corporate support!

My response is contained to objectivity only.

Reading the HHO ad I did not get the idea that the car would run on water as so many schemes have in the past. As far as an additive, water injecters were used in aircraft in WWII. I have in my garage an "Octa-gane" water injecter, the same as what was installed on many autos.

Using MarkB's take, our Smart cars run on crude oil.

The members of this site should be able to sift and select. they also have the advantage of posing questions to the membership.

The ads posted, no way constitute or carry an endorsement by the administrators of this site.

My only request is that all advertising be associated subject wise to the subject matter of this club.
