Tired of Winter?

Are you getting tired of Winter already?
With a week full of snow (and blizzard conditions) on the way, I'm just about to say I'm tired of Winter.

So, what are your favorite Summer hobbies & activities?
(in order from best to good)

1. No School

2. Vacationing

3. Swimming + visiting Lake Michigan

4. Job + buying things

5. RC vehicle races

6. Gaming

7. Going to the movies

8. Other

Soon to be:

1. W/O parents vacations (with friends)

2. smart meets

3. Going to more places with friends

4. Other

Sunshine.

I miss it so...
  • A sunny afternoon at the coast.
  • A sunny afternoon on the mountain.
  • A sunny afternoon with lunch by the river side.
  • A sunny smart drive to anywhere.
  • Music festivals!
Yes, I'm with you on ready to see the end of winter. We had snow or rain every single day in December and I've only seen the sun twice since Christmas.

On my way home from work this afternoon my car indicated an outside temperature of 22°C (~72°F). It was a beautiful, sunny day in the Bay Area today.

Hardly ever see those numbers even in the summer!

I think this applies to those who are almost literally "swimming" in their 1+ft of snow and ice that's camping outside their front doors right now.

Still waiting for the lakes to melt as the lake I just moved next to should provide some Summer fun.
-As well as Lake Mich. of course!

But before there is ANY Summer fun there needs to be some sun!

And BTW -the only things you can do out here is go to Six Flags: Great America or enjoy the 10,000 lakes.

BTW, Neon, I wasn't bragging. I absolutely DO get tired of Summer, and usually before it officially begins. It lasts 9 months of the year. Even people who claim they love Summer here go from one air conditioned building to the next in air conditioned cars. You can't run around naked, and you can't stay in the water all of the time. IMO, Summer sucks (here). I'd love to have a little of your Winter.

I wish there was a such thing as a weather swap

Oh I didn't think you were bragging, I just thought that it was funny that many were talking about Summer in their areas

In Chicago it's about 6 months of cold winter and 6 months of spring, summer, and fall divided up.

So that makes IL. to be mostly covered in snow most of the year.

It'll be funny if someone were to try to live in a houseboat on the lake/ ocean for extended periods of time. I'd find that hard to do and I live in a boating town!
