Your from NY? Haven't heard fuel called that in NY ever. In NY, monthly parking, alternative side of street parking and insurance make owning a car very expensive. I figure the gas part is the least of your worries.

Price of crude is fluctuating slightly, but gas is down significantly from a month ago. Agree with MP3SMART, NYC has other more significant costs to car ownership. Of course we are both assuming you are in NYC. If that's a valid assumption, since you have about the most expensive mass transit system, isn't that a better option for you? My sister and her family lived in NYC for many years, never had a car...

Traveling by own vehicle is so expansive

It expands my knowledge of other places
and I get to experience new things on every trip.
I love traveling in my own little smart.
Any cost is worth it to stay away from an airport.

That's right! The smart is like the Tardis! Maybe it is the Tardis, in disguise. I can hardly wait to meet The Doctor.

The Smart will look more and more cost effective as this month goes by. Luckly the markets are closed today but expect the price of oil to soar on Tuesday following Gustav.

Remember how much prices jumped after Katrina, We will be well over $4 a gallon soon. Makes driving the smart a better deal every day.
