Tropical Storm Fay

Hi, Panama City here.

As I write, Fay is nearly stationary offshore from Daytona Beach. It's expected to move west across north Florida, possibly skirting the coast, for the next several days. And, tonight I hear it may linger along the panhandle for a day or two this weekend.

I love storms and this one is relatively benign. The smart is not a worthy storm chasing car. So, I'm glad it may pay me a visit ... as long as it doesn't hang around too long and wear its welcome out.

Just wondering how it's going with other Florida smarties!

I am sorry for those in the flooded region of Port St. Lucie. I am in Miami and we only got 30-40mph gusts and 2inches of rain.

I'll be dealing with Fay tommorow, expecting 30-40mph winds and LOTS of rain. Hopefully it moves through here a bit faster than it did the space coast area.

I parked the smart in the garage Monday night and brought it out yesterday. The bad weather we expected north of Tampa never materialized.

Looks like our Smart get together planned for this weekend will be a little wet.

Just finished playing "let's be safe"... Parked my Ridgeline in my workshop / garage and moved the Equinox into the house garage. I think when the "Boss" gets home tonight we might be able to also fit the smart there too (already have a mid size John Deere tractor, two bicycles, pressure washer and tons of other items in this garage). Our biggest problem here would be falling tree limbs, (love the oak shade trees, but one does pay the price sometimes), a long hard rain shouldn't hurt anything (or at least, I hope not).
