My wife, (retired Command Sergeants Major U.S. Army 76~99), and I (retired First Sergeant 73~96) appreciate the thanks and warm wishes.

We are both still serving, now as Department of the Army Civilians in the Acquisition community. We are both Army Test Officers with the Operational Test Command here at Ft Hood Texas. This is the most rewarding job we have the privilege to do.

We would like America to also remember all the wives and children of military members. Their contribution and sacrifice is worthy of our thoughts and wishes as well.

Don, Bob, John, and anyone else who served during Korea and Viet Nam. You served during the period my father did. My deepest respects. The military in those days was significantly different then it is today.

AuntieM.... We hope and pray for your son's safe return and thank you for your contribution to our nation.

Fredvon4-Thank you, your comments brought tears to my eyes. It is difficult for the spouses and children of service members. Fortunately my son's family lives in our area, we are able to help his family while he is deployed.
