Vote vote vote!

If you have not already done so, get out today and vote! Make sure you are registered and on the rolls before you get there. Google "Am I registered" and your state to find out. It is your responsibility to make freedom count! DO IT!

It is IMPORTANT for everyone to vote. I just read about this couple who only this year became citizens and they returned from a long-term business trip to India just to cast their votes -- over 9,000 miles -- when their absentee ballots failed to arrive. Our voter turnout percentages have been appalling in the last few years, so let's all do our part to take advantage of the freedom that is our right to vote.

RE: long lines, wait times, etc. There are folks in other parts of the world who can't vote, period. Other walk (yep, not drive) miles to vote. Others risk being roughed up or worse if they don't cast the "correct" ballot.

Just my .02, but we Americans just don't treat our voting rights as their importance deserves. Bring some snacks and drinks, enjoy the time in line and remember those who gave all so we still can exercise the right to vote.

Off the soapbox now.
