Wanna be cop or ???

Today on the way to work, I was behind a Kia (sorry Forrest) with an older gent driving. As soon as I got close to 45mph he started flashing his 4 way flashers and honking the horn... I slowed down and he stopped all the noise and flashing. Figuring he had a mechanical problem, I moved to the fast lane. Again as I was about to pass, same thing lights flashing, horn honking... I slowed again fearing something was wrong with MY car... it could happen ya know... and he cut in front of me. This went on for about 3 miles until we came to a stop light after he stopped, I got into the other lane and he was jumping around waving his hands motioning me to slow down, and waving 5 -5 ... We never got over 50.. As the light turned green, I took off to get ahead of him and he did the same routine. I got the heck out of there at warp speed... Guess he wanted to be the safety patrol or something. Hope he gets his speedometer fixed and the next guy he does that to doesn't get a case of road rage on him.

I did think it was cute how his right rear fender was caved in from an accident...

Whew! NUT CASE! Maybe he just got out of the institution! I just remembered! He might of thought you were some sort of speed demon and was really threatened by the painted hubcaps.

I had a guy on a Harley do something similar to me about a month ago. Later he mad it a point to catch up with me and cut me off then slam on his brakes for no reason. I had passed him earlier on a four lane and stayed in my lane the entire time staying aware where he was as to not cut him off or make any dangerous maneuvers (I ride a bike too). When I passed him again he saluted me, not a military salute but a special one-finger salute.

Nut case, we'll meet again someday maybe. Every time I ride a motorcycle I think to myself, "I hope I don't get hit by a smart".

Well I get nervous around people like that. Maybe I shouldn't have my store name across the back window....I gotta get one of those bad boy loud horns...

Oh my. I was just mentioning that to my wife today when a big ole' dually cut in front of me when there was no one in back of me. He got out of the way then later decided he wanted to do 65 in a 45. I mentioned it wasn't good for him to have a company name on the truck. I know he was doing 5 because I was maintaining a little over 60 steady, not speeding up and slowing down....in my Yaris.

I did this once to a smart, just not that crazily.

All I wanted to do was give the local smart a short honk and a thumbs up, but not only was she on her phone and didn't notice the horn, but she was blazin' past the speed limit and making Little Kia and I look like we're the ones with 70hp!

Then I saw a yellow/black cabrio sitting in the left turn lane, I was on the right side in my left turn lane...When I got the green arrow, I turned the corner and when I saw his smart, I gave him a BIG thumbs up...

He immediately returned the "if you do that again, it'll be the last thing you'll ever do" kind of look...


What is it about Illinois smarties? Do they not like it when people applaud them for making a good choice in automobile?

(then again, the woman that drives the local smart is ALWAYS glued to her cell when I see her pass by every morning)
