What do you do outside this forum?

A lot of us spend way too much time here; others, not so much. So, leaving out work, what do you do for enjoyment when you're not on the SCoA forum?

PS - let's keep this PG rated, please.

Well, considering I spend most of my "work time" here, that leaves plenty of time at home. I have 4 children, ages 2, 5, 8, and 11, so getting on the forums at night, forget about it! Chasing the 2 yo around the house and keeping him from eating the dog is a full-time job...

Let's see ... as a single mother of a 9 year old, I spend a good deal of non-work time driving and/or walking my daughter to various activities (although just this week I started letting her walk to and from martial arts class alone, which is step 1 on my road to chauffeur freedom).

In the evenings, I hang with neighbors on my block (we have a book group, a wine club, and in the summer, almost every night is a little block party), go to dinner with friends, or watch tv. (I confess, I'm a reality show junkie).

Weekends are spent in the Poconos -- boating, swimming, hiking and biking in the summer and fall, skiing and snowboarding in the winter.

In addition, we're avid foreign travelers. I've been to nearly 50 countries (I'll hit 50 later this summer) and all 7 continents, and Ellery is well on her way to doing the same.

My wife thinks I'm on the computer too much also. I own a sign and graphics shop and an automotive recycling center (junkyard). I also love racing and race a vw scirocco at local circle tracks on Sat. nights. We have no kids so it's easy for me to travel with her when it's someplace I want to visit. We take a couple of ski trips each winter and a couple of scuba trips each summer. Last year we spent two weeks in Egypt diving the Red Sea. Our 02 T-bird complains that we don't drive her enough since the 2 smart moved into her garage.

Mike --

Ellery and I will be in Aqaba and Eilat for about a week in August -- we don't scuba (well, I do but Ellery doesn't) but we do snorkel. I'd love any suggestions you could pass along!

Sailing and maintaining a "New World" (US/CAN/MEX) yachting website. I do also spend some time under a large format camera black cloth, and some more time in the kitchen. I have given up SCCA club racing for physical reasons.

Since retiring from the Merchant Marine and Navy Reserve, I have found indolence to be a most satisfactory final career.

-watching tv, for mostly "educational" and TV5 Monde, and the occasional sports major events (Euro 2008, Wimbledon, Olympics)
-internet (foreign media, press agency's RSS feeds, newspapers)
-taking nap(s)
-cooking (and shopping for it) and taking care of the results
-did I say goofing off
-daily noon meeting at an exclusive club on the other side of downtown
-speaking of which, enjoying the free entertainment and exhibits
-and some sleep too
