YOU Smart owners are to blame!!
Many thanks to all you Smart owners for buying a fuel sipping automobile. Now since less gas is being bought that means less federal gas tax money is coming in ,our brainless politictions answer to this is to raise the per gallon federal tax a dime!! I have always said when a politiction has told us to "conserve" gas,he didn't really mean it. Well i'm guilty also. In the last year I sold the 16mpg SUV and replaced it with a 32mpg Cavalier. And just a month ago my wife found 3 other people to carpool with. So look at the fuel savings there. So much for the gas tax holiday. Now they want us to pay more! Gee are you now convinced there are many, many people who don't want to see the electric car?

I've been convinced of it for years.
As far as the gas tax going up ... well, duh. If you don't buy it, they're raise the taxes and say they're doing that to save jobs.
You think oil changes are expensive now ... just wait 'til the cheapest one is $120 Jiffy-Lube special with a coupon. It's coming...
Glad I'm not the only person who saw this coming.
Your pal,
Meat.

yes this did happen. does this mean gas will remain our number #1 source for cars???...in the future probably not, because more and more people are demanding other sources. yes this did happen...and yes people wanted to buy EVs, but they were only allowed to lease them and we forced to give them back. then the car companies like gm destroyed the cars, yes destroyed them for no reason (big oil).

Funny ... people are demanding reasonable fuel prices or higher mileage cars. They're not demanding non-gas vehicles. I know that I'd rather not ever buy an electric car. I can rent one at a golf course whenever I want.

Wait a minute ... weren't you talking about Toyota and Honda. Now you're talking about the experiment that GM did?

Nope. They destroyed them because the experiment was over. Big oil had nothing to do with it at all.
Big oil ... that's just an idiotic phrase.
