YouTube help

Why can't I run this video clip without the hesitation?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycgiC9AGyv8
It acts like its buffering.
My internet speed is 2.2+ Mbps.
Thanks

Try this website to see how fast your connection really is:Internet Speed Test

I see no hesitation on my screen, but then again, mine's running at 9 Mbps.

Here is Cox Cable speed tester.
http://test.lvcm.com/
It says I am 8.32 Mbps.
ihoboy's test says I am 2148 kb/s. (2.14 Mbps, I guess).

The results that you get from speedtest.net depend on which remote server you select. Distance will have a lot to do with the speed as well as how busy the remote server is. I'm located in DC and get 9Mbps from a server in Frederick,MD, 3.2 Mbps from the cox testsite and only 1.5 Mbps from speedtest sites in Nebraska and Yokohama, Japan. I wonder where the YouTube servers are located.

With all these variables, the speed checks are not much good to us.

True. But if you are generally getting less than 1.0 Mbps, you might as well turn off the computer and buy a bunch of postage stamps.

lhoboy, sorry to keep pushing this, but, why do you think some of the YouTube video clips run great for me, and some hesitate?

You would think they would all hesitate for me and my particular set up and location.

Some videos are higher density files (due to higher resolution). It is possible that your processor speed is not adequate to properly display. I don't think its a network speed issue since your speedtests seem to to come up strong. These are just my thoughts. I am certain that there are others who can give you a far more knowledgeable answer.

I was afraid it might be my computer speed, 1.30GHz CPU.

But that makes sense.
Thanks lhoboy.
