The U.S. smart brochure (not the Operators Manual) states the gross vehicle weight for both the coupe and cabrio as 2,315 lbs.
The coupe has a curb weight (without driver) of 1,808 lbs and the cabrio, 1,852 lbs and a little less additional carrying capacity (occupants and luggage).

and this means people like me may be "over the gross" when I and my passenger are returning from the buffet - haha - just pointing this out to others who may not have known
Terry, thanks for the information regarding veterans. I'm going to let my friends know about this in case they weren't aware. Tolls can really add up in the land of turnpikes and toll bridges.
