I am getting near my 20k maintence interval. My question is what things should ask about that normally may not be covered under the normal maintence? (I hope that makes since.) I have read about the clutch (rather its bad or not.) Anything else?
Thanks in advance!!
Assuming you have a Passion coupe, did you check for roof crazing? (I'm also assuming you had the 2.0 upgrade, probably with your 10k service. If not, it would be a good time to get it done.)

Reason: add 2.0
Due to relatively low mileage accumulation, I am doing my service checks on time not miles. As I did on my 1-year check, I will waive the oil change* for other non-scheduled work for the same fixed price. At 1-year from delivery I was due for the annual state safety inspection sticker, had them re-lube the shifter, check the engine intake air filter**, and check the front-end alignment. At 2-years I will again be due for the safety inspection. Again re-lube the shifter, and this time have them reverse and re-balance the front tires on the rims to even the wear.
* I DYI the oil changes at a shorter severe service interval.
** The engine air filter wasn't due for replacement at 1-yr, but I wanted to see how it fared through our heavy tree pollen season - it was OK.

The last time I washed my car the roof looked fine thanks for the advice! Ya I had the 2.0 done already.

Ya did that but just wanting to ask and see if anyone had anything else I should ask about.

Roof crazing? I know what it is but is this something that the smart center is fixing?
I sent my Smart in for its 20k las week. I had the normal 20K service done with 2.0. I had replaced the battery because it went dead before my service. So when I went to get the service the battery was brand new. So I was out the price of a new battery. I also pointed out the crazing and at first they weren't going to do anything so I contacted Smart. Smart setup an appointment, reviewed the top and are replacing the top as well as refunding my new battery cost. Search crazing there is a long posting all about this issue.
If you read about the clutch issue, you know the symptoms. If you're seeing them at all, get it done while you still have warranty time. Mine started with very infrequent blanking R and D and I just thought I missed the slot. It was months before it started happening with any regularity. So, make sure you don't get stuck with the bill. I don't know if they can test or inspect for the problem. You might ask them to inspect so it's on your paperwork. If the problem develops after warranty, you might still be able to work it out.
The only other problem I've had was the rear window defroster - one section in the middle didn't heat. They had a rear glass for the same repair for a customer who was out of town, so they used that for mine and ordered one for his. The point being, that may have been another area with some part defects. Since we're headed into warmer weather, you might not realize the problem for months.
Alignment sounds like a good idea. That's probably not a warranty thing, but if they find anything else wrong, it could save you big time.
