I once drove from Washington DC to LA in 37.5 hours. 45 minutes sleep somewhere in Arizona. It's all about the diet coke and twix bars.

I drive it like a race car in the city. 75-90 mph on interstate changing gears hard. I average about 40mpg. I see no reason of driving like an old lady so I can do 50 mpg. Am I the only one?

If you floor it it will hit the speed limiter in 4th gear and you'll have to let off the gas to get it to shift into 5th gear. It won't go faster, unless you get the computer flashed.Flooring it to pass at 75 it should downshift into 4th easily and continue to 90 in 4th.

"I once drove from Washington DC to LA in 37.5 hours."

yeow!

I drove Hollywood to Seattle straight through, once, in 1978 and my eyes still hurt.

Waaait a minute; I'm trying to compute that: 37 hours from DC to LA? Alex Roy ( Alex Roy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ) and his co-driver accomplished that route in 31 hours and they had a general aviation buddy flying overhead checking for Five-oh.

How did you manage to come within 6 hours of a BMW M5 doing 160MPH?

Not for nothing, but I tried assaulting the Northern Route (started from Monterey,Ca to NJ via I-80) in an M3 back in '99 and the best I could do was 67 hours with two 4 hour naps; and we're talking foot to the floor through Nevada for 2 hours tank fulls.

*Seriously; if you can help a brother out with some overlooked time savers; I'm standing here with a pad and pencil...

"Of which" would be my translation, "Dont" in French; your conclusion is correct!

Good luck to all of you here. It was fun.
