ABS Warning light

This is the second time this has happened..

When driving my son to school in the morning, colder weather (19 degrees) If I apply the brakes hard, the ABS light conmes on and stays on until I shut the motor off and restart it. I have applied the brakes hard while in park and the light came on again. Normal braking doesn't seem to make the light go on. After driving about 15 miles, it doesn't happen anymore......

Am I seeing frost buildup on a sensor or ??? like I said, doesn't seem to happen once it warms up.

Brakes seem to function normally with the light on or off.

You might be a tad low on brake fluid. the fluid volume is smaller when it is cold.
