Hi, Just started the car up and the Air Bag light will not go OFF! Tried a RE Boot of computer, Removed power to the CPU No luck. Any Idea's!!

Same problem here. Airbag light on, just don't want to take a day off to go to the dealers. Mine was built 6/2008.

I think I seen someone else have one go off awhile back and they had a bad airbag sensor. The passenger side I think. If it is, then maybe they soon have a recall for a bad batch of sensors.

I thought the airbag connector that started working when it got soldered directly together was on an older Smart. I don't get the impression there are many people with this problem who haven't removed the driver seat (disconnecting the airbag sensor) and turned their car on.

I can't find it now, but one poster had that problem, and they had to put an entire wiring harness in the car. Hope for your sake it's as simple as a sensor. Good luck!

Its the sensor where the seatbelt plugs into

Good idea, will try the the connector under the seats. But will get to the dealer tomorrow!!

...????...what light? the one overhead dead center?.air bag off...or the SRS light on the left annunciator panel?..just confused..

Had that happen just now, when I went to the store. Had it at Smart Edison for it's 1/year/10k service just this morning also. The triangle with the ! in it was on too. It was on all the time I was driving, went into the store, came back out, turned the car back on and both were off. WTH?
