Long time no post, but here I am with some annoying problem that the dealer can't seem to pinpoint. Intermittently, when I lock the car, after about 30 seconds, the alarm starts going off. So basically, I have to leave my smart unlocked all the time... Its very frustrating!
Anybody have any experience with this kind of issue?

Seriously, no idea although there were a few spurious alarm activations at the Dragon meet this weekend. There must be an alarm module they can replace, or one of the sensors is going bad perhaps?
I have had the same problem on many different occasions. Some of the times it would stop others times I had to leave it unlocked. Most of the time unlucky for me happens in the middle of the night. We need to get this fixed, considered going to the dealership but its not something I can make happen when they are looking at it.
I've started having the issue too. I found it was the microwave module. Apparently when the temperature inside shifts past the dew point of the car's interior a slight film can develop and trigger the sensor. There's about 3 weeks in the spring and fall that I have to turn off the sensor via the console to stop the car from going off repeatedly. :P
