Alarm system malfunction

Hey, has anyone had any problems with their alarm system going off for no reason at all? Mine has done this several times (on my carport) and I do not understand why. I thought at first that a neighbor's cat had distrurbed it but the last several times, no cat was around. I took it into our local center and they could not find anything wrong with it. Any one?

Yep. JPaul was already kind enough to post the link. To stop it temp while they try to fix it {They'll have to order a new microwave sensor for the interior} there's a button inside to disable the interior sensor. Press it before getting out and locking the vehicle.

If needded, there's a temporary fix while awaiting the part

I had the same problem and it took weeks to get the new part. Hopefully, there's a better stock available now. If not, the dealer can disable the sensor while you're waiting for the part and leave the remainder of the alarm functional. That's what they ended up doing for mine. (Now that the sensor has been replaced, all is well.)
