Any shop manuals yet??

I still want one. Does anyone know a Smart Dealership employee I can bribe? If so,let me know and I'll spread around some cash to get a shop manual. I'll bring it to Kinko's and have it copied and return the original before anyone knows it's gone.

It is electronic and isn't worth the DVD it is written on.

I was refering to what the techs have in the shops not the dvd for sale on the net. There are no paper copies of a smart shop manual that I am aware of.

It is exactly the same thing unless the American techs get something different which I very much doubt.

Yes you did manage to make my day, I was told that smart was working on on line access for a fee which is what many shops here have gone to. With all the different cars on the road you would need a library annex at every garage. The disk I have seen is not a factory effort is there something I have missed? Thanks karl

When they started the online access of the shop manual over here they forgot to password or protect it for a few days so many of us got a look and I can confirm the stuff they are selling was the same as the WIS DVD.

The WIS covers almost all of the Merc trucks, buses, unimogs and smarts.

WIS is what all Euro techs have to use in their garages.

My local independant repair shop maintains the M-B online subscription (about $2,000 per year), at least for M-B automobiles. Can I expect that the smart stuff will come with his subscription, or is the WIS just for the non-automobile vehicles?

I had a bootleg of the WIS when I owned an MB, if thats the best thing that's available then I will just rely on my own wits and take my chances.
