Yes, in the 3 weeks since you asked last time, the shop manual came out.
This is of course, sarcasm.
If there was a shop manual, people would be talking about it in 16 different threads.

If you really want a shop manual, there has been one available for years.

that's not too bad actually. $30/year for access and then $4/hour to use it. i'm assuming pages are printable and whatnot so actual hourly usage should be fairly minimal. has anyone used this system and how did it work out?

Well, for $10 you can just buy the WIS DVD and then you have it all for however long you like.
Personally I think it is a rip off but by doing this they have fulfilled their contractural obligation to provide a shop manual in the US.

$10 for a full manual on DVD doesn't seem to me bad at all. I tried to find the offer but was not succesful. How does one access that option, by registering first?

it does not seem there is a North America option when registering so i don't see how that fulfills any contractual obligation. the country pulldown list omits both canada and USA.

the online method is handy because it's easy for them to update, ergo, it's easy for me to access the latest info. considering it's a new model year, that might prove useful. but what do i know?

Erm, the DVD copies aren't exactly what you would call legal ;)
I would recommend a look through Ebay.
