Automatic Headlights & ****ty Search Feature

TWO THINGS:
1. My automatic lights seem to stay on after they've been automatically turned on for way to long. To be more specific, I'll drive through a tunnel and they'll turn on and then they will stay on for 20 minutes before turning off. Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions? Where is the automatic light sensor?

2. Why is it so difficult to navigate this website? Am I missing something here - is there a no way to do a simple search for forum posts related to "automatic headlights"? Its so frustrating that I must click through pages of threads to see something I'm looking for.

More and more places are requiring some type of daytime running light... its just safer to leave them on all the time in the first place.

They are "Auto-off headlamps" that aren't turning off...I think there is a problem. LOL ;)

Mine will take 10-15 mins. to turn off even when I return to bright sun. No problem. I figure they act DRLs.

Same here ... sometimes they go off right away after I exit the tunnel/parking lot/whatever, other times it takes as long as 10 minutes. Frankly, it doesn't really matter to me as long as they stay ON when they need to (and thus far they have).

Most cars put the sensor on the dashboard. Check there first.

Are you using Search, or Advanced Search? Are you using "Show Results as Posts"? How you set it up is how it will work ;)

The headlights stay on for most of my morning and evening commute even though the sun is shining. But when the sun is higher in the sky my lights turn on and off quickly. If I pass under an overcrossing they com on in 4-5 seconds and turn off about 10 seconds after passing back into the sunlight. The sensor appears to be set for a medium, rather than low level of light.
