Tire Rack sells EBC pads, not sure they stock for the smart but call them and see.

Most cars today, do NOT have four wheel discs. Most premium cars do and larger SUV's but many do not. It is a price/performance issue.

my Crosley hotshot roadster (1949) had four wheel disc brakes; they were not the strongest, or most re-assuring aspect of an otherwise exciting car ;-)

Crosleys were the first production cars with disc brakes, IIRC
