I'm sure there are fuses that are only active when the key is on, maybe rewiring the Sirius to the fuse block will help - there are a couple of free 'accessory' slots but I don't know if they're switched. In the short term, not sure what to do.

And if you get into the situation again, instead of spending 250 bucks for a repeat, you may be able to find a deep cycle battery like an Optima red top - I think the yellow top is a true deep cycle battery, but either one is reputedly far superior to the OEM battery.

Yes perhaps the battery should need a boost becasue I left a dome light on over night. But should it totally kill a 6 month old battery?

So you mean there are already batteries out there that can be used in the Smart that are superior to the OEM?
