That's not what everyone here is talking about.

I've had this happen occasionally. It appears to be something in the system status logic. I surmise that all of us who've experience the problem have the comfort package and automatic lights. What appears to be happening is that the headlights are in an on state. If you switch off the ignition and remove the key/open the door quickly, the logic seems to think your headlights are on and generates the beeping. Switching the ignition on and off clears the alarm.

I've found that waiting a moment after switching off the car before removing the key and opening the door avoids the error. That or leaving the lights in the Off position.

Could it be the proximity sensor going off? I noticed that last week when the car was on display that it seems to trigger when people get too close to the car.

To fix it I put the key back in, turn it to 2 and then back and out.

Anyone else experience this? Or know what it may be?

no. i don't have the comfort package and i'm getting the issue too. it seems to be an electronic glitch of a sensor not being activated after turning off the ignition.

Hello egwalker how are things in the Natural State. I haven't had the alarm "go off" just once as I turned off the car the was a faint beep beep beep tone that stopped when I put the key back in the ignition and turned to the second position. switched back off all done. My car has the comfort pac and the alarm and It only happened once. On start if you put in the key and twist all the way at one time you get nothing as well. position two till the dash lights come on the speedo needle pops to attention a tap with the key and vroom. nothing yet I would call a problem, just different.

I don't think this is related to the alarm as it's not the same sound (at all!)
