I think the roof rack is really the way to go. I installed the Yakima rack, look for my photos on the 3rd page "MSOEMiller". I drove the car for about 100 miles with the bike in the rack and still got 38 mpg (My very first fill-up). Sorry cabrio owners, wouldn't use this rack with a cabrio . . .
