Can a 451 be Push-Started?

At least with a "manual" clutch, you can push-start a car if it has a dead battery.

Now I'm curious if you can push-start a 451 with its "manualmatic" transmission?

Has anyone with a new 451 tried it?

There was something on the Canadian site. Possible but complicated.

Actually you can roll start it according to the manual if you have a steep hill handy:

-Press the brake pedal
-Ensure that the key is turned to position 1 in the ignition.
-Push the gearshift lever to position + and hold it there.
-Take your foot off the brake pedal.
-Press the accelerator all the way down. As the speed of the car increases, the clutch is automatically engaged and the engine starts.
-Release the gearshift lever.
-Accelerate.

Thanks for the reply + link.

Missed it as I associate "Jump Start" with cables.

That's what I thought originally, then I read the post. "Push Start" would have be a more acurate title.

NOTE: It never tells you when to turn on the ignition '2'

The 450 manual says the same thing but....... all that is not necessary.
I'll bet it would work on a 451 also.

1. Foot on brake
2. Ign. on
3. Shift to Neutral
4. Foot off brake
5. Begin rolling
6. shift to +, 'N' changes to '1' , cars starts.

You don't need a really steep hill nor high speed
Works for me.
