Yes, the Airbags will turn off. The car has a Latch Attachment as well. Read the Manual for details and Warning,

Oh so many warnings, Right down to " the metal from the LATCH ring may get for in the sun. Be careful"


But, The We part of your question does not make sense. Only driver and Baby can be in the car, no other passengers.

The seatbelt on the passenger side will 'latch and ratchet' when fully extended. Then when it retracts, it will no allow you to extend it again until it retracts all the way back. That is to lock the child seat in place.
