How about a thread that would be Old Smarts cards?

If everyone would post an issue and a succinct fix in a Sticky thread, we could print the thread and be done! I'd like an engine code guide..

Let's all contribute, share the work!

I've thought and fiddled and I think I know what I'll do. First, 20pt Arial font is a no-go as the cards will be to big and awkward - it will have to be 12 pt, but Arial is pretty clear. Size: looks like for me 8-1/2" x 3-1/2". I can get two laminations out of Kinko's 8-1/2" x 11" sheets (three on a sheet would be pressing it). Some cards will be more than one sided, but they can be laminated back-to-back. So, so far, and with credit to those who have provided text and photos, here's some fat-fingering (paragraph spacing has been compressed):

ESP® Warning Light (Exclamation Point in Triangle) On – Transmission does not shift in automated Mode.
Indication:
Car not shifting by itself out of 1st gear in automated mode. Manual shifting with paddle shifters functional.
Procedure:
a. Park car and turn off (key Position “0”). Wait a few minutes.
b. Turn key to Position “1” and slowly shift from “P” to “R” to “N” to “D,” and back to “N.”
c. At “N,” turn steering wheel as far left as possible, then as far right as possible.
d. Put shifter in “P” and turn car off ("0").
e. Re-start car.

Shifter locked in Park.
Indication: Shifter will not move from “Park.”
Procedure:
a. Refer to photograph. Horizontal strip of tape marks place to put fingers to pull up console cover.
Same spot on other side, approx. 10 & 2 clock positions. Vertical tape points to position where a yellow lever will be seen under left bottom edge of cover.
b. Slip fingers slightly between bottom edge of cover and carpet. Pull up and back, and snap cover loose. Do not pull up over an inch. Prop up front of cover about an inch.
c. From ground, look in under the cover from the driver’s side; observe yellow lever just inside cover.
d. With key ON, lift yellow lever while wiggling and pulling shifter down and out of “Park.”
e. DO NOT use “Park” again until whole shifter box has been replaced.
(Page three – photo)

Shifter Button Stuck.
Indication:
Difficulty or impossibility to move shifter. Shifter cam and plunger require lubrication.
Procedure:
a. Rotate shifter knob 1/8 turn counter-clockwise and pull up and off.
b. Lubricate the face of the cam attached to the button in the shifter knob, and the top of the vertical white plunger in the shifter shaft.

Sluggish Transmission.
Indication: Transmission sluggish and/or will not engage some gears. Transmission requires “Teach-in.”
Procedure:
a. Stop vehicle in safe location.
b. Move shifter to “Park.”
c. Turn off engine and wait at least 30 seconds.
d. Run transmission through the gears after waiting 30 seconds.
e. Put foot on brake; turn key to the “1” position; move shifter lever through all gears; return to “P”; turn off key (“0”).
f. Re-start car. (Three bars instead of “P” appear on dash display.)
g. Wait at least 30 seconds.
h. If “P” appears on the display, teach-in was a success. Continue normal driving.
i. If three bars continue to be displayed, teach-in not successful. Do not drive; call assistance.
