Changed Transimission/Diff Oil

Changed to motorcraft full syn. manual trans oil due to past experiences with it. 75W90

The car is almost a 1000miles on it.

The OEM oil was pretty clean - no burnt smell and it was pretty clear.

Part of it was blue and part yellow.

What surprised me was how much oil it took, I have almost three quarts and at it drank it all. From the instructions I found on the forum you fill it till over flows well it did not. But I also read it takes 2.3L, Its s 451 passion 09.

First impressions are similar to what I had with the oil in my other car.

But my wife is driving it next week so will wait for her impressions. She is a non-techy and if she notices a difference in shift and comments on it on her own then my impression will be backed up.

I will wait for the wrench light before the engine oil - will try to reset the light first and then change the oil - If I am not able then I'll let the dealer do it.

When they changed out my clutch I watched them refill the Gear Oil, and it was 2 of whatever size bottle this is


It might not of all gone in but It was most of it
