Changing city light bulbs?

Is there any way to change the bulbs for the city lights (the small amber ones in the headlamps) without removing the entire headlamp from the car?

I changed mine. Just reach in and unscrew, then pull out the stalk. The bulb is at the end.

Thanks. Could you please let me know what kind of bulb the OEM amber ones are? I know most 5 watt wedge blubs will fit interchangeably, but I'm a little obsessive when it comes to my car, and I want to make sure I use the same style. My guess is that it's a W5W?

yup, your basic W5W bulb.

IIRC, to unscrew, unscrew towards the fender to loosen. It's a long reach at a weird angle, so it took some force to get it loosened

Okay, I finally sourced some W5W bulbs, and was planning on changing them today, but I wasn't quite sure how to unscrew the bulb holders. Do they actually thread in like a screw, or do you turn them slightly until they unlock and then pull the entire stalk out? It was a bit cold today and I didn't want to risk breaking brittle plastic by forcing them.
