Check Engine Light and CPU Reset

So I went by the dealer on Monday to have the Check Engine light reset and now the car runs like it did when I first got it.. When they reset the CPU it must clear all of the settings that it has learned over the first 500 miles I drove it.

What do you guys think? Does this sound right when the CPU is reset?

Yes, it does go through a period of "re-learning". It won't take 500 miles though
