Well, the curse of the beige interior has caught up with our smart; some black marks on the bottom of the driver's door panel (shoe soles) and a couple of dirt spots on the seats. Anybody cleaned this interior yet, have any suggestions, etc.? The material on the doors and dash appears to be different than on the seats; is that an issue? Thanks!
Same problem here. Haven't tried cleaning it yet. I also have sweat stains from my "knee pits" on the edge of my seat. (driver) My screen name should actually be SweatHog.
I have the red interior and the day I got it I soaked all surfaces in Scotchguard. Shoe scuff marks on the door panels, "special sauce" on the seats and dash areas clean up nicely. Try cleaning the dirty areas first then a thorough soaking of Scotchguard. I ended up using a can and a half without harm to the seats or dash.
I'd sure test any cleaner on a hidden area first. You should see what oxy clean did to my sister's beige house carpet.
I also have beige interior. My adorable husband had spilled coffee on the driver's seat. I just used a wet (not soaking) white terry towel with water only, and it cleaned the days-old dried coffee stains with no problem. Then I soaked it with scotchgard. That was 2 months ago, and it has, in spite of my husband, stayed clean! :-)
I can say that the Griot's Garage Interior Cleaner (recommended elsewhere on this forum) did nothing for the shoe scuff marks on the beige interior of my BMW Z4.
I soooo wanted beige leather for the Smart. The black will do, but ouch! ...what a pain in the @$$ when the sun's been shining on that black leather too long. Shorts and skirts beware.

Wouldn't want the hassle of having to clean it. Going with red myself.
Hope you solve your problem.
Had a dark blue Beetle with "camel" light beige cloth upholstery and said never again. So, like Princess, got the red and "Scotchguarded" it to death (1 full can).
Not sure if you are beset with grime or a stain, but this worked. We had a fitted beige carpet on the cabin sole of the sailboat that took a full glass of cabernet sauvignon. I brought the carpet home and put it a bathtub and soaked and thoroughly scrubbed it with hot soapy water (most of the stain remained). Then while still soaked, I saturated the area with 3% antiseptic-grade hydrogen peroxide, and over a period of about 10 seconds I watched the stain completely disappear. H2O2 is available at any drugstore.
