Cleaning the Polycarbonate Roof

Until I find out, I'll just be using car soap and water. Thanks!
The Polycarbonate Roof has a Silicone Hard Coating on it. So it is no Problem to use ammonia Type cleaners. It is even more scratchresistent than the rest of the car. So it does not make the same trouple as pure PC-Glacing on Boats, Airplanes ...
I would rather take care obout the Roof spoiler and the Black Covers on the C-Column. These Parts are just molded in Color uncoated parts. They scratch more easely but can also be polished easily afterwards.

Use a polyurethane polish like Finish 2001 and you can use it on practically the whole car, headlights, roof and powder-coated areas included. The nice thing is that it lasts a long time and helps keep bugs and other items from sticking. It takes more effort to buff off than the label would have you believe, but given how long it lasts, that's a trade off worth living with.

Panorama Roofs (YOU NEED TO KNOW)

After thirty years of riding Honda Goldwing Motorcycles and cleaning so many polycarbonate and lexan windshields, you DO need to know one VERY important thing about cleaning the Panorama roof.
NEVER clean the roof with WINDEX or any cleaner that has amonia. I learned the hard way! WINDEX causes small "starburst cracks" in plastic that will ruin the roof. I suggest using "Honda spray polish" which is designed for plastics and also paint with no possible harm to the finish..Also other cleaners that are also good are "Plexus" and "210 plastic cleaner" but the Honda cleaner is far superior to the others in my opinion.
None of these cleaners have any abrasives in them. Good luck with your roof. Waymon 132

I use ArmorAll auto glass cleaner and a micro fiber towel on the entire car, windows and all. It is ammonia free and works really well. So well I use it around the house too.

Any problems using REJEX on the panorama roof? Heard wonderful things about the product and its sold by aircraft websites -applied it earlier today and it needs to cure for 12 hours before exposure to the sun.

just another testimonial here about Plexus: that stuff is fantastic!

cleans and rejuvenates all the plastics on the smartmobile: shiny and no streaks!

used it on the panorama roof, the plastic trim around the rear hatch and the clear headlight covers...

i picked up a can at the local Harley Davidson dealer: $10.99

looks like JC Whitney has it for a good price online:
