Comfort Package Recall didn't work.

I tried to start my car this morning and the battery was dead. Not completely but enough to hinder a start.

I had my auto lights on auto and my wipers on auto as well. I usually do not have my wipers on auto once I park but I did on Sunday when I parked it. Today (Tuesday) no go.

I had the recall performed a few months ago. I did notice that once I had the recall the heated mirrors no longer worked?

Any ideas?

Yup. Count how many times you've had it back to the dealer for a dead battery. If it's four or more, tell 'em you want a new car.

Why stop at "A" new car? Get two or three! You'll probably have just as much luck.........seriously, I think 'Godfather' was referring to a "Lemon Law" and while they pretty much differ state-to-state, they for the most part REQUIRE your car to be inoperable for a specified period of time, say 1-2 weeks OR that you do not have use of your car for a similar time frame.

Just because you've made 4 or more trips to the dealer doesn't mean they automatically give you a new car. Also, just because you may have the same 'symptom' doesn't necessarily mean you still have the same 'problem'. Maybe the new battery they installed was defective....hey, it happens.

But in any event, get it to the dealer and see what they say. If you're not happy, talk to the brand manager. If you're STILL not happy, then contact an attorney to see what your options are.

Good Luck!

Please describe what was actually done during the service appointment-
-new battery?
-the heated mirrors are no longer functional?

The comfort package recall removed a relay and replaced it with a fixed plug. This in turn is supposed to keep the heated mirrors on full time but eliminate the problem with the auto lights, auto wipers draining the battery. I still have the original battery.

Apparently, it didn't work.

Not sure but that would be why my mirrors don't seem to work.

Wait, Original Battery?

Did you get the more recent update that may change out your battery? You may want to look into that.

Plenty of post on here about it.

I do not have the factory alarm so I am not eligible for the battery upgrade.
