Computer Resetting

There have been a few posts all around the forums about resetting the computer to let it relearn drivers habits once we settle into driving our smarts. The problem is that they are different and some are only for the older models.

So

Can anyone definitively post a method of resetting the computer in a 451 which does NOT involve disconnecting the battery or buying a third party piece of hardware?

Having just had my battery replaced If I knew how to do what you ask I would not do it. Why do you want it stupid again?

I now have about 8000 miles on the car and drive it a lot differently than I did when I first started. I want to "unlearn" some of my earlier bad habits.

It continues to "learn" It runs just a bit different everytime I get it back form my wife, just let it keep going. IMHO you are much better off just keeping it going than starting all over.
A ford I bought years years ago required it to learn idle as a baseline. if you did not let it just sit and idle for a few minutes it would run like crap for weeks until it got what it needed.
Would love to have a shop manual to see what the proper prcedure for our cars is.
I find myself two gears higher in my manual cars now lil Bogger is teaching me as well as getting better herself.
