Convertible top wont go up???

anyone have any ideas. This is the first time it's done this and it's 3 weeks old. It goes up so that the back window is up and then it won't go up the rest of the way.

I haven't. Just a hunch, but have you checked to make sure the removable bars are both securely in place?

When you put the removable bars on make sure they click twice.

This may also be obvious, but when the top reaches that position, you have to let go of the button and push it again to get it to close all the way.

Interesting that the OP hasn't come back to make a reply to the suggestions, positive or negative, especially since the problem would seem dire. Perhaps he/she has found a solution, yours or mine and has nothing further to add.

sorry I've been busy like crazy...yes, you were all correct...no fault of the car; I hadn't put the removable bars securely in place.

Lesson learned. and yes, I was in a panic!!

I love my car...it still remains flawless. I, however, apparently am not!

To err is human. To learn from your mistake...is smart.

I love this forum, by the time I get my car in about three weeks I will have learned so much, there are some benefits to the waiting game.
