Mainly I did it myself so the crack wouldn't have time to spread before I could get it to a glass shop. The one time I did go to a shop for repair, it looked like they used the same repair kit that I purchased for $10 at Pep Boys (syringe and resin). Anyone know if these kits are all the same? Like I said, I've had good luck doing it myself on other cars if the crack was less than an inch long.

they are basically all the same, i have always used superglue without any problems.

Just in case anyone is counting....Ordered and paid for the windshield on May 30th, and was told it should be in in 3 to 5 days.... It's now June 22nd and no windshield.... This is a bit frustrating.

I don't know about other State laws, but in the state of Kentucky your insurance will replace your windshield for FREE anytime it cracks for any reason. It doesn't effect your rates in any way. I had to have one replaced on my daughters car. The glass man did it in our driveway.
