And yet another question for all you good folks.......

So I get that dreaded flat tire ...at some point in the future, and I'm NOT carrying a spare. Say the tire is blown and I can't use the repair inflator pump and goop that came with the car, etc. Suppose the tire is really destroyed; I'm on I95 somewhere far from home. From what I've read hereabouts, smart will come to the rescue, but in this scenario I'm gonna be on the receiving end of a rather large towing bill and replacement tire bill. Correct?

So, I'm thinking.....wouldn't it be smart for me to buy an AAA service contract? Would this be a good idea??
Thanks for your advice.......

Yup, especially after two years when the smart 1 service ends. And you can use the AAA for any other vehicles you have. They have plans which include 100 and 200 mile towing.

JACK

Hi Whalepirot, Your system is what I use. I had floor jack and just cut 2/4 to fit across head. Just be sure 2/4 is between jack head projections and it works super! Please do not use a bottle jack, they have dropped on many people over the years!!!!!!!!
