Do you need smart 2.0 upgrade??????

Do you currently own a 2008 Smart Car? If you do you are eligible for the smart 2.0 upgrade. If you do not know what this is it is a free upgrade to your transmission. This will upgrade your computer and transmission software so your vehicle will shift like an 09 (smoother shift) and also you will be able to paddle shift while stile in drive, no need to bump the shifter over anymore! Also if you have the comfort package or factory alarm you will also recieve a new battery! Next, all 2008's will be provided with a new owners manual. So why not come in, and the best part of all it is all free of charge!!!!!!!!! Call and schedule your appointment today 813-712-2777 ask for John

I'll look when I get home...but the invoice says upgrade of transmission/engine ECU so wonder if it has to do with emissions ?

They killed my ECU doing the upgrade and had to replace it. They did get me rental car used up 13-hours of my time though but stuff happens when computers are involved. 1-2 upshift is worth it!

The door jamb VIN label is illegally able to be removed intact (and moved to another vehicle). The emissions label (in the engine area) is subject to obliteration, also illegal.

Yup - have the extant labels replaced and accounted for by competent authority (the servicing smart center).

The smart center has the new tamperproof VIN label with the specific VIN already printed on it. The old label must be sent somewhere by the sc. The new VECI label isn't tamperproof, just non-smudging.

Garage
Apparently I'm eligible for an upgrade battery. But, I'll be upgrading on my own long before I can get my car to a dealership. Can I have the battery anyway?
