Door Adjustment

Had a rattley pass door. Adjusted passenger door latch loop ( it was one index mark from center) and noticed that the plate would not go past the center index mark. It fealt as if it was at the end of the slot in the body.Well, the door is certainly less rattley, but it seems , thats the end of the adjusting. Has anyone run into this?

If you're close enough to the dealer, make them fix it. If not, there is a plastic pin that is BEHIND the latch and that is what is stopping further adjustment. I imagine it is there for some reason.

That being said, I pulled mine and adjusted it....rattle gone but the door rides too close to the tridion for my liking.

Yes, I had this done by the dealer: about 2/3 a mark "in" to silent the rattle. It did work. As said, it was done by the Dealer.

Ahhh, hidden stop pin eh? Thank you for the quick responses. It's bearable where it is for now. I,m sure it will get "depinned" in the future as the rubber shrinks or as whatever causes this progresses.

Yeah, I'd pull that pin as a last resort. Since my car is well out of warranty I don't mind doing occasional adjustments.
