I have the heated seats, which I believe is part of the comfort package.
I don't have the auto lights or auto wipers and I am glad. I would rather turn those on myself.
Thanks very much folks. I believe I will have the dealer do the DRLs when i get my 10K mileage oil change.
DR
You can have heated seats and not have comfort package. The heated seats are a option you can get all by themselves although it is part of the comfort package.
leather heated seats are only available w/ comfort pkg
YES
Leather AND heated seats are ONLY available as part of the comfort package.
Originally it was Leather Seats, Heated seats, Power Steering and Rain/Light sensor.
Now it is Leather Seats, Heated seats, Power Steering and Fog lights
I just bought a used 08 with heated leather seats, but I don't know if I have the comfort package or not. What is included with it for 2008 models?
Do you have a hockey puck mounted to top of your windshield (autolight sensor). The leather is standard with confort package but some dealers were adding custom leather seats so checking for hockey puck is good way to know what you have.
Yup, looks like I have the comfort package. Darn, really wanted to get the DRL's turned on.
Hmmm now that I think of it that may be the rain sensor but anywho looks like you have your answer. You have comfort package if you have the circular sensor.
I just purchased the Webelectric DRL kit for my 2008 Cabrio. Did you find anything tricky in the installation? I found another post on the forum where someone listed the color-codes for the turn signal lights (BLK/WHT = Left, BLK/GRN = Right, BRN = Ground). What did you tap into for the switched power source? Are you happy with the product? Have you noticed if the turn signal bulbs have any shorter life?
I never had any issue with DRL unit or the bulbs. I did switch over to the LED bulbs to cut the heat of the bulbs. As for the power, I went though the fire wall through the main cutout (poke a hole in the rubber with a cloths hanger) that the main wire harness goes though with a 18 ga wire to the accessory plug in the SAM. I used the same wires listed above except I made the connections close to the bulb on both sides. the unit is on the driver side behind the head light. you need to be aware of the routing of the wire to the passenger side as to not let it get tangled in the wiper arm.

SD,
Which is the accessory plug in the SAM? What sort of connector do I need on the wire to connect to the SAM?

Thx,

There are actually 5 of them. They run down the left side of the sam next to the fuse panel. IIRC 3 are constant and 2 are switched. Check Evilution.uk for diagrams and such.
That is it ..As for the connector, I used a 15 amp fuse and silver sauntered a wire to on end and plugged the other spade of the fuse in the SAM. I put a connector on the wire so if the fuse blew it would be a easy fix the SAM has a single female plug-in. You could find a male spade plug the same size as a fuse end and then put an inline fuse on the wire.
