ecu power

does anyone know an easy way to disconnect the ecu power without pulling the battery connection? my other cars have a pigtail connection for the ecu power under the hood. I want to reset the ecu but not lose power on everything else.

You won't change the engine mapping as an example as it's stored on an eprom...

ecu repair

Anyone able to repair ecu? I tried and failed to remap, I first back-up the original map file from the car then downloaded a map file to the ecu turned off key clicked ok and when I turned the key back on 5 bars were the neutral "N" used to be and the temp and fuel blobs flashing with the car unable to start. I pick up a used ecu and sam unit with remote key for $500 at an auto salvage. If possible to fix and remap let me know thanks.
