Embedded Signal Light Sensors

Last night, I encountered two deserted left turn lanes with embedded signal light sensors that I couldn't trip. At one signal, after two cycles another car came to my aid. At he other, I ended pulling out and going straight. I believe the sensors were inductive loops.

Anyone with similar experiences?

This issue was brought up earlier, in late February I think. It happens to bikers too.
One of the solution was to stick a fridge magnet under the car. Sometimes, was it said, stopping the car further back, like at the beginning of the embedded loop, did trigger it.
A long term remedy is to inform the local traffic signal authority (maintenance) to fine-tune the sensitivity of the detector.
Over here, traffic lights are the power utility company's responsibility.

Yes, us bikers have this problem. I "fixed" mine by putting 2 high power magnets (out of an old computer hard drive) on the bottom of my bike. Now I have NO problems! Just a thought.

Put an oil filter magnet on your oil filter and it will serve two purposes.
