I too enjoyed the fragrance and performance of the original washer fluid. And all things being equal, I would prefer it. I asked around where I could get some but I didn't get and don't have an answer.

But Hedders did offer to siphon his out and into the timobile last summer at the Prosser meet...


Does anyone have a source for the original washer fluid?

I'll offer what's left of the genuine smart OEM fluid in my reservoir (still almost full) for $25 plus shipping in the US. Any takers?

If you get a service done at the dealer just make sure your washer fluid is empty and they'll top you off with the fragrant. I'll be sure to ask about it next time when my baby goes in for her 20k service as I got a refill that way.

You might try 1z Kristall Klar Washer Fluid. It is a product of Germany. A concentrate- an 8.5oz bottle makes 7 gallons of washer fluid and it has a light citrus smell.

I found it on the internet and have been very happy with it.
