Fuel Gauge Stuck On Full

Have 600 miles on the car and did a fill up a few days ago. Driven around town since and put 100 miles on since the fill up. By now it would have droppeddown a bar. In fact I think it drop down one bar at about 50 or 60 miles.

I assume the fuel pickup sensor is electronic so it will have to go back to Smart.

Maybe it's getting amazing gas mileage.

I've noticed the smart is similar to other cars I've owned: it takes longer for the fuel to drop at first and the further you go the faster it drops. That is, maybe I get 100 miles from the first 1/4 tank, 90 out of the next, then 80, then 70 (just an example to illustrate the point).

no the engine light is not on. I disconnected the battery and reboot the computer and within seconds it registered correctly. So I have a couple of items that it needs to go back for anyway will just have them add this to the list. After doing the reboot it registered correctly all day after several on and off's

I went 97 miles on my last fill up before the gauge went down from full. You know your range for your smart is 250+ miles. So your still okay, don't reset your trip until you fill up next time.

Mine has gone over 100 miles on first bar on one or two occasions. It was nice while it lasted.
