So, just did my first real fill up. I had the last BLOCK on the fuel gauge to go, but the car was stuttering so I thought I would fill up.

Miles Driven 255 Total Gallons 7.47 and that included a little last pump.

So, around 34.5 mpg with

80% highway, at 60-70 mph
20% city, with about 15 miles with AC.

I would say 90% of Automatic, and 10% manual.

doesn't seem that great, but this IS the first 350 miles on the car.

latest per tank, now about 1,500 miles. Local driving and 10 mile runs to and from work on 45-50mpg back roads, occasional highway for short bursts, mostly in auto mode. Lately using some A/C.

32.7 mpg
33.1
33.7
36.3
36.8
36.7

Seems to be settling in at about 37mpg.

Mileage Check

Been journaling mileage since day one. Have had my Smart for 3 months and have well over 6,000 miles. My average has been anywheres 37+mpg up to 42.5!! YEAHH! I just paid $4.09 per gallon but that still is much better than filling up my 'other' car, which now is for 'special occassions'.

After 1900 miles, my average is now 37.7 mpg, last tank was 38.4 mpg. 20% city/80% hwy, hills, wind. Have not done a flat 200 mile all highway run to Houston yet, but will on May 24th.
