commutes

my daily commutes involve about 13 miles on a tollway.. and in the summer i would like to drive 250 miles (one way) to my dad's cabin.
i drove there last year in my metro (no CC) the 190E would easily
suck up twice the gas. i'm hoping the smart will equal the milage of
my metro.

jeeze 20$ ish to fill up and get maybe 280 miles out of a tank.. that sounds pretty good! It takes about $70 to fill the benz and I can squeeze out 400 miles of a tank if I grandma it

Plenty of threads to debate what is or is not good economy or the alignment of the heavens...

We prefer this thread to track MPG across many users and situations

about 3 or 4 months from now I (or someone) will do a chart with enough data points to be able to more accurately show MPG averages, highs and lows... and if there is any correlation on terrain, temp, brand ect....

The SCANGAUGE device

I saw this gadget called the Scanguage recently on another forum, and it may help the driver achieve better mileage. From what I understand it can give you real-time mpg information.

The ScanGauge is a great device. Gives you immediate feedback on your mileage and how your driving affects it.

Also, I'd like to recommend that everyone post their mileage info on FuelEcomony.gov. This way it's available to everyone in a consistant format.
