no

probably not

only you can decide that

If you make changes like bumping the timing or other mods from stock it may give you more. I pass on it and go with 92 maybe I should try a few tankfuls and test it myself. It wont hurt anything but your wallet

I'm wondering what kind of mileage would be possible @ a steady 60-65 MPH.

Someone here has already reported 50+ on highway...

First fill 6.69 gallons, 275 miles = 41.10. Mostly highway at 58mph. Will slow down to 55mph for next round. First round also had some local, not much and a few beat downs to see what it could do. Was using 92 octane on flat terrain at sea level.

It just gets better

This car is amazing. Best tankful (#5) so far at 43.88 MPG.

Our smart now has 1,200 miles on the clock and mileage has improved steadily since the first fill at 37.9 MPG.

I may have to break down and get a Scanguage if I'm ever going to catch Dave777 though.

I'm having similar results to post above. Sixth tank was 304 miles and 7.7 gals for 39.5MPG. Total average for 1st 1507 miles is 38.9 MPG. Each tank has resulted in a slight incremental improvement.

Mixed driving rural, city and highway, speeds up to 80 MPH. 50% AC usage and a mix of auto and manual modes.

Am very pleased with my results as I am driving the car not babying it.

Smarts are peppy!!!

Okay so taking care of my Smart during the 1,000 mile break in period and getting 300 miles to a tank fuel and over 40 miles to a gallon. I decide to see what this baby can do. So I went to manual shifting and extended shift to 3500 to 4500 and man was this car fun. This car has a little pair of balls on it when its pushed. However this resulted in an average mileage rating of 31.35 mpg. Still not too bad but I will go back to getting max mileage with some squirts of fun just to keep it interesting.
