In the course of a Subaru brake job at my local independent mechanic this afternoon, I told the owner that I was hoping to get a smart. He said

See, I knew it, Fish! Once Smarts get into this country, our American mechanics will take the task to hand with these cars and learn how to fix them just like any other foreign car! It's nice to see that kind of attitude towards them, though, isn't it?

More good news about my "Good News Garage:" Checkered Flag Motors, my smart dealer-to-be in VAB, is well aware of my GNG, and have a good working relationship concerning parts distribution and his service on CFM prior-sales. CFM is 50 miles away; my GNG is <5, and at this point has more smart experience (in Greece) than CFM.
